The Grand Canyon
Spring Break this year was different than most. I actually went on a vacation. This year, since my brother and I had spring break at the same time, my family decided to take a trip west and take my grandmother to see her beloved Chicago Cubs for Spring Training in Mesa, Az.. However during our trip to Mesa we took a slight detour north about four hours to visit my six national park, The Grand Canyon. The three days we spent there couldn’t have been more diverse weather wise. Day one stared sunny and cool, about 40 degrees, but later that day it snowed 2 inches. And then day two we had 50 degrees and sun to hike in. Quite the experience.
Lighting is everything is photos! It’s hard to capture that Awesome moment when you first experience the canyon that is GRAND, but you did! So glad we got to do this as a family. Grandma Dombeck will always remember this awesome canyon…..also the Cubbies won all 3 Spring Training games we attended! Cubs in 2011!
