Allen is one of the deaf students at the Montego Bay campus that offers children an opportunity for a deaf education. Some students live on the campus of CCCD while others go home each day, similar to a boarding school. There are currently 52 students enrolled in the school, half of whom live in the dorms on campus.

Miss Kentucky Ann Blair Thornton, 21, sings autographs at the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Wednesday evening. Thornton, a native of Bowling Green and WKU student, was back home for a gathering to celebrate her recent crowing of Miss Kentucky. Thornton will compete in the Miss America Pagent in Los Vegas this coming January.
