The second day in Jamaica our group had the opportunity attend a Jamaican church. This is my good friend Stephen Gordon walking up the hill of the CCCD campus to the bus that would take us to Rosemont Missionary Church in St. James, Jamaica. Yes that is Montego Bay in the background and yes it [...]
Ok so this is my chance to love on my mother and most likely embarrass her. Now for a bit of context. Before I left I was under strict instructions to be in at least one photo while I was in Jamaica to prove that indeed I had been there. The saying “What momma says, goes” would [...]
So I don’t have much to say about this image. Just love the age, tones, color and feel of the chairs as they wrap around a very old tree. Great place to sit and and let the mind wander. Did that at least twice here on that bench during the week we were there. Thanks [...]
Well It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything on the blog here. Thats all about to change. As some of you know I just returned from a missions trip to Montego Bay Jamaica. I had the opportunity to travel as a photographer with the the Bowling Green Christian Academy 8th grade class and others [...]
Here is the promised final edit of the story on Reid’s Livery Winery.
The Hilltoppers began the 2010 football season with a new head coach and a winless streak now over 20 games. WKU hosted Indiana University for the 2010 home opener September 18th.
My first story of the semester was on a “farmer”. We could go in any direction with this really so with a little bit of research I found Rex and Diane Reid. Rex is a farrier (which i found out it the proper name for one who shoes horses) and is now two years in [...]
The summer has officially ended and classes have begun. Western Kentucky University welcomed back its students yesterday of the beginning of the Fall semester. Campus certainly has a different feel during the first few weeks of class compared to the summer or even two months in to the semester. It’s a combination of optimism and [...]
As the summer quickly comes to an end and the students come back to campus everything seems to get busier. The incoming Freshmen class of 2014 has been here since Saturday or Sunday and their orientation has been going on all week. Monday night WKU Student Alumni Association held ROAR (a pep rally type event) [...]
Well…. it looks like its been a while since my last post. Guess that’s how this works. I’ll attack you all with post after post for a week or two and then fall off of the virtual world for a week or two. For a quick update on what i’ve been doing in the time [...]
Housing and Residence Life contacted Clinton about doing a portrait of WKU’s new head football coach Willie Taggart. A former All-American quarterback and assistant coach at WKU in the 90′s and 2000′s says he is glad to be home. Taggart is coming from Stanford University where he was the running back’s coach last year. During [...]
This past Saturday I was up near Bardstown, Ky at a wedding for two good friends of mine, Taylor and Millie. The Kentucky heat and humidity beat down as thankfully the forecast of rain never came. Both the wedding ceremony and reception was at Millie’s family farm which was picturesque Kentucky. Oh and the food [...]
Western is wrapping up their first summer of a National Science Foundation (NSF) research grant for a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU). The program recruits students from all across the United States to come and get hands on lab experience before they get in to graduate school. This year WKU hosted 9 students that worked [...]
Last Wednesday Clinton and I had the chance to take the portraits for the 2010 Game-day Magazine for WKU’s Football team. Some friends from IMG in Lexington came down to the shoot as the designers of this year’s magazine and we all had a great time. This year we did the full shoot in one [...]
Last Thursday I drove up to a piece of property that has been donated to WKU for Research, Education and Protection located on the Green River near Mammoth Cave and Horse Cave, Ky. WKU was holding an dedication of the land in honor of the legislators who helped enact the land becoming protected property of [...]
Congratulations to my two good friends Scott and Nickie Kissick who were married Saturday up in Indianapolis! My family and I made the trip up there to celebrate with some old friends and enjoy a great day with some amazing people. I can honestly say that I had more fun that day then I have [...]

Every now and then I get the chance to climb. I’m fortunate enough to have a job in which i get to get up out of an office and move around and stay active but it is still nice to be able to go out every now and then and get out in the outdoors. [...]
Thursday July 1, Elizabethtown, Ky. – I love this job! I get to take pictures for a living and be around genuine people that tell great stories. Yesterday was a great example of that because I got to ride in the bed of a truck and take pictures of some friends of mine that are [...]
After a busy weekend at home and a busy summer so far a friend and I drove to Florida to visit his grandparents and relax on a beach. Now I have never really had this kind of vacation so no knowing what to really expect I enjoyed every minute of the trip. Didn’t really take [...]
First some explanation. I didn’t take any of these photos, however i did edit them ie crop and tone. These were all taken by my dad. I gave him my camera and a 70-200mm f/2.8 and i think he enjoyed it. Just saying. So while I was in St. Louis I had the chance to [...]
Following shooting the race Saturday morning my family and I drove up to Jacksonville, Ill for my Great Aunt and Uncle’s 50th Wedding Anniversary party. It was somewhat of a family reunion actually. Enjoy
Now that I am back from a short Vacation I can finally begin to update you all on what all I’ve been photographing lately. Two weekends ago I was back in St. Louis for a cycling race that I was photographing, a 50th wedding anniversary party and my brothers baptism. So needless to say I [...]
The Tour de Cave is in its 22nd year running in and around Mammoth Cave National Park. This years ride began in Oakland, Ky with a record 230+ riders. I had a great time covering the race and was very impressed with the riders tenacity during the race. Enjoy.
